.
Common name: Purple-Leaf Japanese Honeysuckle
Family: Caprifoliaceae (Honeysuckle Family)
Distribution: Asia
IUCN Red list: Not evaluated

Comments: This is a fast-growing vine that can reach up to 10 to 15 feet at maturity. It gets its cultivar name from the leaves - green with a purple tint underneath. During the summer, fragrant coral-red flowers with white insides attract hummingbirds. Besides being grown up an arbor or trellis, this vine also makes a super bank or slope groundcover and it will cascade over retaining walls as well.
