Comments: Burkwood viburnum is a densely-branched, multi-stemmed shrub which typically grows 8-10' tall and 5-7' wide. It features fragrant white flowers arranged in flat-topped cymes during the spring time. Flowers are followed by pendulous clusters of red berry-like drupes which will ripen to black. In this particular viburnum, fruit is not particularly showy, but it does attract birds. It has ovate, glossy dark green leaves that turn maroon in fall. In warm southern climates, this shrub has the tendancy to remain evergreen. Prune as needed immediately after flowering.
