Comments: This cultivar of Tall Bearded Iris has a decorated history including awards of merit, Dykes medal winner, and Franklin Cook Memorial cup. Growing up to 39" tall, this iris is a mid - late season bloomer with flowers appearing in April and May. This cultivar also has a purple color to the base of the foliage, not often found in gardens. Flowers are a deep purple and violet. The flowers are ruffled and fragarant. Best grown in full sun for most blooms, but will bloom in half day shade
