Comments:
The giant hesperaloe is a tough evergreen perennial native to Texas and northern Mexico. It grows as a clump and will produce stalks of white flowers six to ten feet tall. This is an excellent xeriscape plant and thrives with very little water. Its considerable mature size requires careful planting to accomadate it's eventual dimensions. Numerous white fibers are along the leaf margin. Historically the fibers from this plant were used to make rope. The species name means "rope bearer."
