Thalictrum dasycarpum - Meadow Rue
.
Common name: Meadow Rue
Family: Ranunculaceae (Buttercup Family)
Distribution: North America
Hardiness: 4a
Life form: Perennial plant
Comments: Meadow rue is a native wild flower that will grow well in full shade to part sun. It quickly grows to a height of about 5 feet in early summer and has a brief but large and spectacular display of frilly, white flowers. The grey-green lacy foliage is very attractive all the rest of the summer. Meadow rue will seed heavily in your garden, but the plants are easy to weed out by hand.
