Comments: Ravenna grass is native to northern Africa and the Mediterranean region. It can be very weedy, but it provides a large and handsome statement in the garden. The plum-like flowers appear on the up-to-12-foot stalks in early fall. The flowers have a silver gray color with purplish tones and are strong and last well in to the winter. The clumping grass will quickly spread to six feet wide in a few years.
