Comments: This blackberry has an upright growth habit and is thornless. Ripening in mid June, 'Ouachita' is a high yielding variety with very good flavor and sweetness. This disease-resistant variety produces a generous crop of fruits on erect, thornless canes. 'Ouachita' prefers sun and humus-rich, well-drained soil, but may benefit from some shade and a cool summer mulch in hot climates. This upright cultivar does not need the support of a trellising system.
